SMOKY BBQ CHICKEN

A pizza with southern swing and the rich, smoky taste of BBQ.

INGREDIENTS

Serves 2

400g PizzaExpress Pizza Dough

8-10 tbsp of PizzaExpress BBQ Dipping Sauce

120g mozzarella

56g red onions, sliced

60g mixed peppers, sliced

200g BBQ, or plain chicken, torn into pieces

Sprinkle of oregano

A pinch of fresh parsley, chopped

RECIPE

  1. Preheat your oven (220 C/fan 200 C/Gas 7) or Ninja Oven (370 C) and dust your worktop with flour.

  2. Slice your dough in half and shape into two equal balls, rest for 15 minutes.

  3. Flatten your dough balls until they’ve doubled in width, flip and repeat until each one is 24cm in diameter leaving 1.5cm for the crust.

  4. Place each base onto a baking tray. Spread 4-5 tbsp of our PizzaExpress BBQ Dipping Sauce evenly over each base.

  5. Evenly place the sliced red onions, mixed peppers and BBQ chicken to both bases, and top with mozzarella. Finish off by seasoning with oregano and black pepper.

  6. Cook for 9-19 minutes in conventional ovens, or 2 minutes in your Ninja Pizza Ovens making sure the base is crisp.

  7. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley and dig in!
